These General Terms and Conditions of the Dutch Thuiswinkel Organization (hereinafter referred to as Thuiswinkel.org) were drawn up in consultation with the Consumers’ Association within the framework of the Self-Regulation Coordination Group (CZ) of the Social and Economic Council and will take effect on February 1, 2022.<\/p>\n

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions shall apply:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
1. Ancillary contract: a contract whereby the consumer acquires products, digital content and\/or services in connection with a distance contract and these items, digital content and\/or services are provided by the entrepreneur or by a third party on the basis of an agreement between that third party and the entrepreneur;<\/p>\n
2. Reflection period: the period within which the consumer can exercise his right of withdrawal;<\/p>\n
3. Consumer: the natural person who is not acting for purposes related to his trade, business, craft or profession;<\/p>\n
4. Day: calendar day;<\/p>\n
5. Digital content: data produced and delivered in digital form;<\/p>\n
6. Continuous contract: a contract for the regular supply of goods, services and\/or digital content for a specified period;<\/p>\n
7. Durable medium: any device – including e-mail – that enables the consumer or entrepreneur to store information addressed to him personally in a way that allows future consultation or use for a period of time appropriate to the purpose for which the information is intended, and that allows unaltered reproduction of the stored information;<\/p>\n
8. Right of withdrawal: the consumer’s option to waive the distance contract within the withdrawal period;<\/p>\n
9. Trader: the natural or legal person who is a member of Thuiswinkel.org and offers products, (access to) digital content and\/or services at a distance to consumers;<\/p>\n
10. Distance contract: a contract concluded between the trader and the consumer under an organized system for distance selling of products, digital content and \/ or services, where up to and including the conclusion of the contract exclusive or joint use is made of one or more techniques for distance communication;<\/p>\n
11. Model withdrawal form: the European model withdrawal form included in Annex I of these terms and conditions; Annex I does not have to be made available if the consumer does not have a right of withdrawal in respect of his order;<\/p>\n
12. Technology for distance communication: means that can be used to conclude an agreement, without the consumer and entrepreneur having to be together in the same room at the same time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
